I'm working on a short little... I don't know if you'd call it story... I'm not sure how it's going to go. I might follow it up with some 'chapters', who knows. It should be posted shortly.

Peace

I was bored, so I just started writing.. this is what I ended up with...

'She'

Walking down the sidewalk, head hung low, she repeats his last words in her head. You were never special. I never loved you. You’re the reason I’m doing this. A silent tear ran down her cheek. It was all her fault. At least, in her mind it was. He sounded so sincere when he spoke those final words. It was hard not to believe him. After all, he’d never lied to her before. At least, not as far as she knew. You were never special. I never loved you. You’re the reason I’m doing this. She kicked a pebble that lay before her as she continued on her way. She’d spent her whole life searching for love. She thought she’d finally found it. Apparently not. She was so sure… until those three little sentences. You were never special. I never loved you. You’re the reason I’m doing this. She reaches home, unscathed; unharmed. On the outside, at least. She’d never seen a dead body before. Much less, someone in the process of dying. She follows the stairs up to her floor. She carries herself to her apartment, and to her bedroom. You were never special. I never loved you. You’re the reason I’m doing this. With the pull of the trigger, all of these words are erased from her mind.

This is, I've been told, a confusing story. Please tell me what you think I'm trying to convey to see if I'm semi on target? Thanks.

I haven't written a poem in forever, but here's the one I just finished:

"While you thought I was sleeping"

I remember when you’d play me music.
From beneath my sheets,
from behind my room’s walls,
my ears would catch a melody,
lightly speaking hm hmm hm,
born from the clacking
of white ivory.
Each finger,
a catalyst of audible beauty,
stroked the machine,
hoping to coax out
a warming note.
They were carried to me
upon bottle rockets,
magnificently exploding,
putting on a startlingly grand
show for my tired body.
And I felt I could lay here forever,
with my bed turned to green grass
and ceiling, newly of sparkling stars,
and never grow tired of the
music you’d play
while you thought I was sleeping.
